Run by the humble Sardarji from Kargil the Pumpernickel German Bakery is a must do when in Leh. Tthe freshly baked breads and mouth watering sweets to the snacks and mail course are a must try any day and every day while getting Leh'd. The small shop has a cozy little restaurant on the side where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal be it India, Chinese, Continental or Italian. This place has a reasonably good menu and enough on it to satisfy the varied taste buds of the entire family/ group. The place is a short walking distance away from the mail market. Even if you are full with a meal already elsewhere, stop by to satisfy your sweet tooth.
