Puerta del Mar.This magnificent and silent witness to what was the great strength of the city stands in front of a modern civic plaza. Although its structure was partially demolished in the nineteenth century and rebuilt in the twentieth, boasts a simple facade facing the sea, with its large gate arch in which a galleon carved in stone is seen. Over the door remains survive Garion monitoring and ladders giving access to step round. Standing under the door, can be seen at the other end of the old town Puerta de Tierra.
