 Primor started off as a family business in Malaga around 60 years ago. In order to offer their perfumes and cosmetics at lower prices, they took the decision to slash their margins. This means that they haven't made many friends across the years among their competitors, as they've opened up store after store with accusations of "unfair competition". However, in accordance with Spanish Law, as long as the sales price is above the cost price there is nothing anyone can do about it (this law exists to prevent "dumping" - selling items below cost price). Additionally Primor has the approval of the Spanish Consumers Organisation (OCU) based on the company's low-cost strategy
