This lighthouse is located in a very beautifull location with very interesting rock formations near Lagos, Algarve in Portugal. The Ponta da Piedade Lighthouse started is work in the 1st July 1913. Initialy it was equiped with a 4th order rotation device showing 5 white flashes every 10 seconds. It used a Petrol lamp and the rotation was provided by a clockwork device. The tower has 5 mts of height and is located at 51 mts of altitude.
