As far as Bay Area golf courses go, Callippe Preserve is the new kid on the block. Located in the rolling golden hills of Pleasanton, this 18-hole course was built in 2005, and remains one of the newest courses within driving distance of San Francisco. The front nine holes of the course wind through the valley, while the back nine offer a panoramic view of Mount Diablo and the surrounding area. In the clubhouse, the Vista Restaurant offers an eclectic menu with fresh ingredients from local growers.
