Penang National Park, penang, Malaysia Phone: +60 4-881 3500About
The Penang National Park - (Taman Negara Pulau Pinang) is located on the North-Western tip of the island at Teluk Bahang and is a great place to go jungle trekking, camping, fishing, wildlife and bird spotting, or just relax on one of its beautiful beaches.Eight of the best beaches in Penang are hidden away inside the Penang National Park. Nesting sea turtles, a meromictic lake with both saltwater and freshwater, undeveloped beaches, and mangroves await anyone willing to tackle the trails in the national park.
The tracks through the jungle are often steep, wet and tricky with lots of roots, tree trunks and sometimes rocks to climb over, so wear some proper footwear for the job.
Expert Review
"This beautiful park offers trail walks through the magnificent landscape or a trailer ride around the area. The whole area put's you in a relaxed state and makes it very easy to enjoy. We purchased a small bunch of bananas and two bags of peanuts on the way in for the monkeys. They are well behaved if you respect them. Park Open at 7:00.am close at 7:30 pm 10 min. by bus from batu F. town."
