Famous for the Ganga Aarathi conducted with great energy and enthusiasm every evening. The young monks training at the aashram sing so beautifully. Many times, especilly on special occassions, Chidanand muni Maharaj, the patron saint of the aashram leads the chorus. As the aarathi lamps flicker and burn bright and the singing gathers momentum, one loses oneself in the aura and mystique of the divine Ganga. This palce is a favourite with many dignitaries. the most recent visit is by His holiness Dalai Lama himself. parmarth is accessible by two floating bridges, the ram Jhoola bridge and also by the ferry.
