Oriel Y Gader is a new art Gallery which supports and exhibits works of artists in North Wales. Based in Dolgellau but holding various events and exhibitions in Conwy and Criccieth, Oriel Y Gader is a contemporary new gallery which aims to bring the beauty, the passion and the splendour of North Wales to you through some of the countrys most exciting and inspiring artists Oriel y Gader is a first and second floor gallery in a light and functional space above the long established Moncrieffe hair salon in Dolgellau. The idea for the gallery was born to Meinir and Laurence Moncrieffe who studied art and with an artistic background wanted to create something that supported local artists and their work and a place where people could come and enjoy these works of art. “The whole of North Wales and its dramatic and stunning coastline and country is a source of inspiration and passion to all of the artists at Oriel Y Gader. The Gallery will be holding exhibitions and events throughout the year at these various destinations. Its a very exciting project and an opportunity for people to purchase original and stunning works of art and to own some of the spirit of Wales” Meinir Moncrieffe
