Castleconnell is proud to be home to the Orchard Pottery Company. The master potter, Richard Ferris, handcrafts the pottery made here. His work is greatly inspired by the intricate drawings found in one of Ireland's greatest treasures, the Book of Kells. In the workshop you can observe the potter at work and see how the items are made, from the start of the process right through to the finished product. Each unique item is individually created, designed and decorated. The showroom displays the full range of finished products. There are items available to buy for those who wish to take home a little Celtic treasure. It's a delight to watch this crafts person at work.
