The Omani French Museum has become a focal point for temporary exhibitions since 2006 with a number being organised by the French Embassy in Muscat in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture. These include 'Masterpieces of Islamic Ceramic Arts Collection', 'Galliera in Oman: Two Hundred Years of French Wedding Dresses', 'Perfumes: A Natural History in Oman and France' and 'Trees of Eternity'. The museum has also hosted a number of cultural events that have enhanced fruitful cultural exchange between intellectuals from the two countries. The Ministry is now working on a plan to develop the museum into a cultural centre that embodies Omani French relations and enables it to host additional temporary exhibitions that help strengthen friendly relations and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
