Oldenburgische Golf Club eV was on 1 Founded in October 1964 by Dr. Paul Berning together with 13 other founding members of the first golf club in the Weser-Ems region. Under the guidance of golf architect Bernhard von Limburger was in February 1965 with the construction of the 9-hole course started. A year later, were first 5 tracks ready to play and in 1967 the entire 9-hole course was put into operation. As a "clubhouse" was at that time an old farm cottage, which was in 1970/71 is replaced by a new building. In the same year, the 100th was Club welcomes. From then on it was steadily uphill. Membership development is good and in 1985 was given the space extension to 18 holes in order. The architect was Dipl.-Ing this time. E. Schnatmeyer.
