Alentejo is one of the most iconic Portuguese regions. Located close to the middle of the Iberian Peninsula, it features splendid seaside views, but also never-ending golden fields, very hot in the summer and quite cold during the winter. The Galito restaurant presents a menu totally inspired and dedicated to the region's cuisine. The ensopado de borrego (lamb stew) or the favas com entrecosto (broad beans with pork ribs) are two of the main specialties. The decoration is also quite traditional, evoking some of Alentejo's most emblematic rooms and customs.
