About

Named after the grotesque imaginary town from a famous satire book of the nineteen-twenties 'Zolotoi Teleyonok' (The Golden Taurus), this restaurant is decorated with giant wooden spoons and other folk symbols. The cuisine is Russian in the traditional style, but with some additional twists. The dishes themselves are titled with quotes from the book. Start off with mulled wine with lemon and cloves. The 'Quasi una fantasia' salad (with crab, cucumbers, apples, and oranges), the 'On this day God sent...' salad with lightly salted salmon is also quite good. 'Union of the Sword and the Plough' and consists of black and red caviar tucked inside two plump pieces of sturgeon set in potato shavings with cream sauce. You can enjoy the business lunch, including soup, salad, and a cup of tea or a cranberry juice.
