Najafgarh is located at the outskirts of the southwestern part of Delhi, India. It has a mixture of rural and urban population. Najafgarh is best known as the hometown of the popular cricket icon Virendra Sehwag and Olympic Silver Medal winner Sushil Kumar.
Najafgarh, being outside of Delhi, was initially neglected in terms of development and other facilities. Now, however, this region is emerging as a hub for education Thana Road in Najafgarh is famous for its coaching and learning institutes, shopping, and several other activities. The sixth plan of Delhi Metro included Najafgarh as one of the main stations in the South-west Delhi Zone. There has also been a substantial increase in shopping hubs and marts in this area.
