About

Nadi lacked a really good Fijian restaurant until proprietor Amy Suvan opened this one in late 2007. In a small wooden cottage with wraparound porch, it excels in traditional fare such as kokoda (raw fish marinated in lime juice and served with fresh vegetables) and kovu walu (Spanish mackerel steamed with coconut milk in banana leaves). Nadina is the only place I know that regularly serves miti, the crunchy young shoots of the wood fern -- delicious served with coconut milk. Some ordinarily bland Fijian dishes are spiced up for those with worldly tastes, and you can get a good curry here, too.
