The museum has a major series of fin-de-siècle poster art as well as virtually every poster by Toulouse-Lautrec. The collection is rounded off by exhibits from the 20th century (Art Deco, Surrealism etc.). Two rooms are devoted to art from the 16th to 18th century. However, the museum is best known for its collections from the 19th and 20th centuries, which offer a broad panorama of the periods various painting schools:pre-impressionism, impressionism, neo-impressionism, luminism, fauvism, symbolism, expressionism, surrealism, constructivism, young Belgian artists, the Cobra movement and Pop Art.
