About

Santander's bullfighting museum is appropriately located on the ground floor of its bullring, to the west of the city, near Cuatro Caminos Roundabout and Plaza de México. The museum opened in 1988 and is divided into four rooms which extend over more than 100 square meters. Three of the rooms exhibit the museum's permanent collection, while the fourth is used for temporary exhibitions on related themes. Among the objects on display are the famous trajes de luces (literally the "suits of light") the highly decorative outfits traditionally worn by Spanish bullfighters, capes, etchings, posters and a collection of entrance tickets to some of the most famous bullfights. Admission is free.
