This small, free museum is dedicated ot the exposition of contemporary art, and is part of a private, nonprofit foundation that funds similar museums Israel, Spain and Uruguay. It accepts no money or donations and does not have a shop or a café, rather it is a purely educational institution. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 5 PM, in January on Saturdays only, and in February is closed for the month. It opened in 1992, and has 16 rooms featuring different themes, including one of purely Latin American Art, and has many fine statues, etchings and paintings, including several examples by Rodin, Calder and Dalí. Visitors to the museum may take their time, sketch, photograph or otherwise enjoy the art at their own pace. It has one of the most complete and extensive collections ofcontemporary Latin American Art in the world.
