The Sacred Art Museum of Sao Paulo is one of the leading institutions Brazilian aimed to study, preservation and exhibition of objects related to religious art . Located in São Paulo , the left wing of the Monastery of Light , gathering of religious founded in 1774 on the initiative of Frei Galvão . The monastery is the only colonial building of the eighteenth century in Sao Paulo to preserve its elements, materials and original structure. It is inserted through the convent last urban farm in the country. Was listed as an architectural monument of national importance in 1943 by the then SPHAN and subsequently by Condephaat .
