History Museum
nstalled in the cloister of the Monastery of Bernardine built in the late seventeenth century, the Museum of Burgundian Life has a rural ethnographic heritage collected at the end of the nineteenth century by the folklorist Perrin Puycousin. Furniture, household appliances, regional costumes are to be seen in their context of use. Dijon eleven shops (pharmacy, grocery, butcher, etc ...) are reconstructed on the first floor. A new presentation highlights the rich heritage associated with mustard evoking its origins, production, role of Dijon. Also to discover, know-how related to the stone, earth and wood. Finally, picture rails give life to the men of Burgundy including photographs copyright, such as Janine Niepce or Rajak Ohanian.
