The food is lofty as well -- in addition to steak and chops, Murrieta's offers a broad selection of fresh fish and seafood. The grilled shrimp with vanilla saffron sauce is outstanding; for a break from beef, try the chile-roasted pork rib-eye with red onion marmalade. On Friday and Saturday nights the bar features live jazz.
