Ron Banning, who owns this gallery which mainly sells his own work, was taught to paint by his daughter, Arwen Banning. Arwen is well-recognised as a contemporary artist with a unique and powerful vision. She has paintings on permanent display at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Her father usually has prints of her work and occasionally an original – at far more attractive prices than a London dealer would offer. Banning Senior's work is competent, with many attractive watercolours of local landscapes. He also carries out restoration work on oil paintings and photographs (including image manipulation), offers short run quality printing and sells artists' supplies.
