The Moorish Mosque, which represents the secular history of the destination, is one of the famous tourist attractions. The mosque was built by Maharaja Jagatjit Singh, who was the last ruler of Kapurthala. Construction of the mosque started in 1917 and was completed in 1930. Presently, this mosque is a National Monument which is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Travellers visiting the mosque can view the beautiful inner dome, decorated by the artists of Mayo School of Art, Lahore. This mosque is surrounded by beautiful gardens which have numerous structures and colourful lights.
