Hiking! Is that what you want to do Good! Near Granada you have this SPECTACULAR MONUMENT TO NATURE:Mombacho Volcano. With 1,150m high at the Biological Estation, 1,350 to the highest point, and three different forrest, this Magical place offers the best spot for you to do trekking in the area. You can start from the slopes all the way up to the Biological Estation from where you can also continue the jurney by doing a short hike around crater #1 or the Tigrillo Trail, which is a little bi longer. However, if you want to do a "bit" more, you can always try the Puma Trail. In all of them you'll be sorrounded by nature, but the latter offers you a wilder sensation since you are really IN THE JUNGLE. There, you will enjoy astonishing views from the different lookouts located along the way. You can also start the adventure by taking a truk on the parking area. It takes you all the way up as well, and then you can begin the hiking ON THE CLOUDS. This Volcano counts with 3 different forrests: Tropical Dry Forrest, form the slopes passing by the coffee farm at the 700m where you should stop and give a try to this delicious coffee produced and processed there, up to the 850m; then you have the Tropical Cloud Forrest up to the 1150m and finally the Dwarf Forrest that goes from this point up to the highest point. You'll be able to see and feel all of them along the way.
