About

Subtitled "National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement," the new Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas wants to give visitors a balanced look at the history of organized crime in America. Exhibits tell the story of infamous men like Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, and Tony Spilotro, but it also tells the story of undercover cops like Donnie Brasco. Housed in a former courthouse, the Mob Museum involved noted experts to help them bring together this unusual history in a balanced way. The building in which the museum is housed was once one of 14 across the nation used in the Kefauver hearings on organized crime, which swept the shadowy world of the Mob into the light of public scrutiny.
