About

The Mission to Seafarers is the ancestral home of the Flying Angel Club in Melbourne that continues to offer a safe and secure place where seafarers can relax away from their working environment. Safe in this environment they are free to contact their families through internet or phone. The Mission to Seafarers building is of historical significance and is one of the few remaining examples of Melbourne's Maritime History. The building was buit in 1917 and will soon be celebrating 100 years. The centre is open daily all year round. Whilst they continue to service the needs of Seafarers from all nations and faiths, the centre is open to the public and welcome visitors. Tours are conducted daily and groups are most welcome. Bookings are recommended for large groups and if catering are required. The centre is famous for its Saint Peter the Mariner Chapel and the Norla Dome. The centre is also available for functions, weddings and events. The public are invited to become VIP members by joining the Crew 717 Club. For more information please contact the Mission to Seafarers or view their website.
