A welcome pit stop for anyone hiking from Santa Teresa up to the Chrst Statue, this viewpoint in Tijuca National Park offers sweeping vistas across this most spectacular of cities. It is also possible to take a helicopter ride from here and, while prices are steep (starting at around US$150 for six minutes), it's a worthy investment if you have the budget.
