The Mines, which previously known as Mines Shopping Fair launch its new name logo on 10th March 2010. Over the last 2 years, CapitaMalls Asia had tranformed The Mines to a contemporary neighborhood shopping mall with a major upgrading work inclusive of creating additional retails space, revamped the Carpark system, changing new wash rooms, created additional link bridges and new sets of escalators inside the mall. The Mines, welcomed shoppers with its brand new look following a major revamp and Fun, Food, Fashion & Future as its key messages and core values to provide a better, greater shopping experience to its patrons. For Fun - The Mines provides a fun and amusing entertainment platform to shoppers from all ages from TGV Cinema, Bowling Centre to a Family Karaoke. The Mines guarantee a fun time like you never had before. The Mines had also created a landscaped rooftop garden Splash Park - an added new facility comprising a childrens playground and designated water play area with interactive features for families to linger around while spending the whole day at the mall. For Food - Tenants mix at the walkway along the canal was reconfigured for Food and; Beverages tenants. Shoppers can now enjoy new and exciting dining options and have more variety to choose from our new food outlets like OldTown Coffee, Subway, Breadstory, Carl's Jr, Secret Recipe, Pizza San Francisco while enjoying the cruise along the canal. For Fashion - Leveraging on the CapitaMalls Asia Global retails' network, the leasing team has managed to create an optimal tenancy mix for The Mines which is now offering more fashion & accessories brands name, like G2000, Nichii, Kitschen, DC Super Heroes, Goldheart Jewelry, City Chain, & so on. For Future - The Mines saw the opening of DigitaMart, the largest IT Centre in the Southern Hemisphere.
