he  Mercado Central  is a  market  specializing in handmade products. It is managed by Almec, but is owned by the  Municipality  of  Fortaleza  and is located in the  center  of town next to the  Cathedral of Fortaleza  and  Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora da Assunção  has been built alongside the left bank of the  creek Pajeú  .
