For the uninitiated into the world of Taiwanese sweets, Meet Fresh's clean, minimal interiors and English menus offer the perfect opportunity to satisfy your sweet tooth outside of your comfort zone. In a culture without ovens, desserts here may seem strange at first, but they're equally satisfying once you give them a try. Meet Fresh is famous for its shaved ice topped with sweetened condensed milk, tapioca balls, fruit and brown sugar syrup. Other items like sweet red beans, chewy QQ bites and grass jelly often make appearances on these Taiwanese-style snow cones. If you're not quite brave enough for the shaved ice, Meet Fresh makes a nice tapioca bubble milk tea as well.
