it was built to honnor the soldiers who died in the first world war..it has 154 crypts for officers and another 5073 soldiers inside the construction started in 6 august 1923....at 18 september 1938 was innaugurated in the presence of king Carol the 2-nd....the legen say that the mausoleum is so grandious that Hitler himself ordered to Antonescu to send 2 units of army planes to protect it from the invasion of the ally troops....quite interesting.right I was there yesterday an i can tell you that it's grandness is still impressive
