About
Style is the order of the day at Maneo, from the 1930's Ladislau Hudec - designed building the restaurant is housed in, to the slick white interior which is divided into a restaurant and a champagne bar. The atmosphere is minimalist, yet retains a romantic feel with a garden for alfresco dining on a warm evening. The menu is international with an emphasis on French and Italian flavours with an Asian twist, such as antipasto plates for starters and a classic crème brulee with green tea for dessert. The staff is unobtrusive, yet efficient, which is a rare quality in Shanghai. Not for those looking for a cheap night out, but a well-deserved treat.
