About

Mandal River forms a part of the north-eastern boundary of the Corbett National Park. In Talla Salan in Chamoli district, the river rises. The river flows for a length of 32 km before joining the Ramganga River at Domunda, a little distance above Gairal. During the monsoon season, it turns into a torrent, and forms a vital breeding ground for the endangered mahseer.
