Manas National Park is a Wildlife Sanctuary, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger Reserve, an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve in Assam, India. With an area of 500sq. km, the national park is located along the Indo - Bhutan border based at the foothill of the Himalayas and is connected to Royal Manas N.P. in Bhutan (1000 sq. km). Mana N.P. harbors more endangered species than any other park in India. Among these are endemic species like the Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog.
