malindi marine national park in malindi coast province in kenya was the first marine park to be gazeted in kenya in 1968.It is about six kilometers from the centre of malindi town.It has several species of corals-potato corals,finger coral and polyphs among others.There are also several species of fish.Since fishing is not allowed in the marine park it acts as abreedig ground for the fish,which are later harvested once they move out of the park.The main tourist activity here is snorkelling.The charges to enter the marine park are minimal.
