Situated about 22 kilometers from Malacca town, the Malacca Traditional House is unique in that its architecture is a tasteful blend of many cultural influences. It was built in 1914 by the penghulu, or chieftain, of Merlimau: Datuk Penghulu Abdul Ghani. Following his demise, the house was taken over by his son, Mohamad Natar. Observe the traditional intricate woodcarvings adorning the fa�ade as well as the interior of the house. Inside, you will see traditional furniture and embellishments, typical in many Malaccan village houses.�
