Be friendly to the customers. So simple and yet so many places in Athens don't adhere to it! Makriyianni 3 does, and it's a pleasure taking a moment to enjoy a coffee there with a giant croissant, small brioche sandwich or pastry. The little white cafe tables are not the sturdiest and the chairs, not the most comfortable, but for as long as you can tolerate them, it offers a pleasant place for people watching as it's just on the crossroads two major pedestrian streets.
