This area is a short winding drive on a loop road where you can get views of the city. It is 1200 foot elevation and will go to 2800 foot elevation then back down to 100 elevation. I live on makiki street and wilder Avenue so go up to visit lots of times. I have been picking wild fruits from the area for about 25 years. I do know the road pretty well. I have hiked the area too. There are many trails all over the area. More information can be gotten at the DLNR State of Hawaii, the Hawaii trail and Mountain Club, and the Forestry Department, SOH.
