Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station is accessible by two major and two minor road bridges, though only one is accessible. The bus station was built during the Nizam rule, and was earlier located on the banks of Musi river. It was built in the shape of a dome and was named Imlibun. Later, for its expansion the Musi river bed was filled and a new facility was constructed.
