About
Madhavaraya Temple, situated 30 km from the Parshvanatha Temple in Anantapur District , is a 14th century temple noted for its exquisite carvings. Though the exterior of Madhavaraya Temple is free of sculptures, there are beautifully crafted scenes from the life of Lord Krishna , the epic Ramayana , and the Narasimha legend along with musicians and acrobats, adoring the columns inside. A frieze of Lord Ram enthroned is housed in the hall, which is accessible through a door way. The immense temple gopuram had been left unfinished.
