Los Chinos Ricos

Calle Brasil, 373 Cuisines: Chinese, Asian

About

This giant restaurant, formerly called "Los Chinos Pobres" (the Poor Chinese, as opposed to now, tht it's called "the Wealthy Chinese) is a classic in Barrio Brasil. It's right up against the Plaza and serves tasty, if soupy Chilean-Chinese classics like "Mongolian Beef" (carne mongoliana) and chop suey (chapsui) in all of it's many incarnations. The food is reasonably-priced, the place is clean, and has a giant fish tank that you can take a peek at on the off chance that it's full. It's a large place though, and you will often find entire Chilean families eating dinner there. Since it's just a few steps off the Plaza Brasil in Barrio Brasil, there are great places to take a pre- or after-dinner stroll with the kids, and cool climbing structures for them to play on there, too. Take the yellow or green line metros to Santa Ana, or the red line to Los Heroes.
