Long Street

Stretching from the heart of Cape Town's Central Business District right up to Tamboerskloof, Long Street is one of the longest streets in the city. Lovely historic structures line the streets including Victorian buildings, mosques and churches. Several buildings today house a wide range of cafes, restaurants and shops. Browse around the great second-hand bookshops for some literature, enjoy lunch at one of the many great dining options, from Indian to African, shop for a unique South African label to take back home or go for a relaxing sauna steam at the historic Longstreet Baths at the top of the road.
