Llangefni Country Market, Markets have been established since 1919 when the first market opened at Lewes, Sussex. These were under the banner of the Womens Institute but WI Country Markets became an independent company in 1995 as a result of changes to the Charity Laws.In 2004 WI Country Markets became Country Markets. Country Markets are co-operatives for the sale of home produced goods from garden produce, all kinds of baking and preserves to crafts. Anyone, male or female, over sixteen can become a producer. Anyone, of any age, can become a customer.
