The tastefully restored Victorian Gate Lodge stands in a secluded arbour at the entrance to Lisdonagh House, an early Georgian Country Manor (circa 1720) in beautiful County Galway. This is a marvellous location for a vacation in the beautiful West of Ireland (only 20 minutes from Galway City). Away from the hurley burley of modern living, and deep in the calming woods, the lodge is largely unchanged save for the provision of all modern amenities during its restoration.The Gate Lodge sleeps four in one double and one twin bedroom. There is one bathroom (with a bath and shower).Dating back to 1820, this beautiful Lodge is an ideal location for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. In this picturesque and scenic rural setting there are many attractions to whet the appetite of the most discerning visitor. Lisdonagh House is ideally located to explore the ancient City of Galway a 15 to 20 minute drive away. If your interest is music, theatre, history or shopping you will not be disappointed.
