It is a real pleasure to go shopping in, or even just stroll through this indoor market. The specialty counters of butchers, fishmongers, fromagères (cheese makers) and bakers are situated along two long alleyways, all vying to sell their very fresh produce. The prices are naturally a little higher than in the supermarkets but, as they say, quality has its price. To fully appreciate the atmosphere of the only true food hall in Geneva, it is recommended to sit back and enjoy a coffee at the market's small café.
