About

The Legradi brothers have a reputation for running one of Budapest's finest restaurants. Remember that it is closed throughout July when most Pest residents ship off to Lake Balaton. The cellar is decorated with antique furniture, high-backed chairs and paintings with baroque gold frames. A guitar and violin combo play live gypsy music, but the venue is rather small and intimate so it can get a bit loud. The food is top notch and stylishly presented. Try the goulash to see how it should really taste. Quality wines will help wash down the traditional Hungarian and continental-style dishes. Everything is freshly prepared and the orange soufflé is gorgeous but takes a while. This place is expensive but good for a treat.
