Le Tabernacle

The tabernacle means the Roman Catholic Church , furniture (item carpentry, metalwork, marble) which houses the ciborium containing the hosts consecrated at the mass.

It is usually placed above the altar . It is used for Eucharistic adoration .

By extension, it means a shrine adorning the facades of churches, a sort of little house surmounted by a pointed roof pinnacles and can house a statue
