Outfitted with exposed timbers and Louis XIII furnishings, it is independent of a simple street-level brasserie (Café Foy) that serves less appealing food. The menu is a stylish roster of dishes such as roasted rabbit with violet-flavored mustard sauce, foie gras (a specialty of the house), braised lobster with a compote of fennel and veal juices, and local freshwater fish baked in a potato crust. Try a dessert that's unusual and heavenly: honey mousse cake prepared with brandy.
