If you are interested in galleries, Zurich is the place to go to! Although people would previously have told you to head towards Basel, Zurich has taken over the leading role. Much of this has to do with the Löwenbrau complex - where you will get a good idea of how Zurich stands in regards to contemporary art. This former brewery has been transformed into an art space with a museum, an art center, and several galleries. On the ground floor is a bookshop, where you will find stacked shelves containing all varieties of books and magazines covering contemporary art.
