Lancetilla (Botanical Gardens), Tela Honduras. 9am-3pm. Beautiful Botanical Gardens, situated 10 minute taxi ride (100 Lempira) from Tela Centro. Can arrive by public transport but it is a 3 km walk to the entrance. Advised not to walk this if you are a solo traveller. Entrance Fee for tourists is 160 Lempira (50 Lempira for Honduran citizens).You can walk around the gardens by yourself after a visit to the exhibition and map of the site or better with a guide (100 Lempira) to explain (in Spanish) the plants and history of the gardens. There is an orchid house. The cafe serves a huge plate of great food. Other sellers of seasonal fruits and drinks available by the entrance. If you go on a Sunday the orchid house is closed.
